This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you contact us. Your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you choose to tell us in your message.

Health information. People often tell us about a disability, a diagnosis, an NDIS plan or an occupational therapist’s recommendation, because it helps us give useful advice. You do not have to. We only collect health information with your consent and only where it is reasonably necessary to help you, and we treat it as sensitive information under the Privacy Act.

When you use the stockist map. If you search by postcode, that postcode is sent to a mapping service to find its location. We do not record your searches.

Automatically, when you visit. Your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you visit, how long you stay, and the site you arrived from. See “Cookies and analytics” below.

Why we collect it

• To answer your enquiry and give you accurate advice
• To put you in touch with your nearest authorised stockist
• To arrange demonstrations, quotes, servicing and warranty support
• To provide documentation for NDIS funding requests, where you ask us to
• To understand how the website is used so we can improve it
• To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including under the NDIS

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website — which pages are read, how people arrive, and where they run into trouble. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and collects information including your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, and your approximate location (derived from your IP address, not precise GPS). This information is processed by Google LLC in the United States and other countries.

We use this information in aggregate to improve the website. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with the details you send us through the enquiry form.

Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager to load and manage the analytics tags described here. Tag Manager is a container that controls when tags fire; it does not, by itself, collect or store your personal information.

What actions we measure

So that we can see which parts of the site are useful, our analytics records certain actions as anonymous events. These record that an action happened and limited context about it — not who you are. They are:

• Sending an enquiry through the contact form (we record that an enquiry was sent, not its contents)
• Clicking a phone number to call us or a stockist
• Clicking “directions” to a stockist
• Clicking through to a stockist’s own website
• Downloading a brochure or user guide
• Searching for a stockist by postcode (we record the postcode searched, which is not by itself identifying)

These events tell us, for example, that a product’s brochure is frequently downloaded or that people often search a particular area for a stockist. They are not used to build a profile of you.

How to opt out

• Decline analytics cookies when our consent notice appears
• Install Google’s opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
• Turn off or clear cookies in your browser settings — the website will still work normally

Who we share information with

We share your personal information only where it is necessary:

Authorised stockists. If you ask us to arrange a demonstration, quote or service, we pass your contact details and your enquiry to the stockist nearest you so they can help.

Service providers. Our website host, email provider and form provider, who hold information on our behalf under contract.

When the law requires it. Including reporting obligations under the NDIS.

Information sent overseas

Some of the services above are based outside Australia — Google in the United States, the OpenStreetMap Foundation in the United Kingdom and Europe. Where we disclose information to them we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, but their handling is also subject to the laws of those countries.

How we keep it safe

We store enquiry information in secure systems with access limited to staff who need it. Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).

We keep personal information only as long as we need it, or as long as the law requires. Records relating to NDIS-funded supports are kept for the period the NDIS requires.

If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details above. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.

We may need to verify your identity first. If we cannot give you access we will explain why in writing.

Making a complaint

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first using the details above. We take complaints seriously and will respond within 30 days.

Children

Our website is not directed at children. Where equipment is for a young person, we normally deal with a parent, guardian or support coordinator.
